You know, the number one thing I hear every day is “wow, you get to live in the wine country?!” To which I usually say ” I know, it’s pretty amazing, right?” And it truly is!

Having lived all over the country in amazing cities like San Antonio, TX to Annapolis, MD I can honestly say it’s still my favorite place to come home to. There’s nothing like the feeling of the wheels touching down at San Francisco International Airport and knowing the calm beauty of Sonoma County awaits just a short drive away. There’s a feeling here that embraces you once you cross the county line: everything just gets a little calmer, the view changes from farmland to vineyards and the world slows down just for a bit.

It’s a special place to fall in love and more importantly, to celebrate love. From the iconic wineries, to the award-winning hospitality, to the Michelin star restaurants, it’s easy to see why Sonoma County is such a popular destination for tourists. But it’s more than that. It’s the people who live and work here that call Sonoma County home who truly make it special. I am lucky enough to share this amazing place with the love of my life, my husband Duncan, my friends and family. I’d like to send a great big “shoutout” to Ben Boone for helping me design this beautiful website and Kingsley Hurley for his amazing photographs of Sonoma County. These are the people that make this place so special.
