Let’s find your favorite vendor: One of the things we’ll talk about on this blog is how to find your favorite vendors here in Sonoma County.  I know from experience, it can be overwhelming to find vendors that fit your style as well as your budget.  More importantly, in a world based on iffy online reviews, how do you find someone you can truly TRUST with your dream day? Each quarter we’ll feature fantastic vendors here based on our own real-life experience and who also have impeccable professional experience.

FEATURED VENDOR: Ryan Berrett, Planet DJ Planet Entertainment DJ’s (djryanberrett.com) When I got married in 2019 I was surprised how challenging it was to plan my own wedding here in Sonoma County, and I’m a professional!  Granted, we were dealing with rolling power outages and the threat of wildfires leading up to the big day, but still, I was really missing having the help of a wedding professional guide me through the process. Thankfully, I met Ryan Berrett at The Wedding Expo at The Luther Burbank Center in Santa Rosa. The Wedding Expo in Santa Rosa, on September 26, 2021, Out of hundreds of vendors from wedding cakes, to jewelers to make-up artists, The Wedding Expo gave me a good look at the scope of local vendors within Sonoma County’s wedding professionals.  And yet, Ryan was the only vendor I hired from that day.  

Why?  Ryan really listened.  When I met with him we were in a crowded hall filled with brides-to-be and hundreds of vendors all trying to sell me their services. Ryan stood out for me because he was down to earth and genuine, even after 24 years in the business! I also liked that he had some great music playing for the Expo and despite the organized chaos of that day, he was a beam of calm professionalism.

I still thank my lucky stars that we connected that day.  Ryan was the one outstanding vendor of my wedding that not only met my expectations for sound, lighting and entertainment, he far exceeded them!  I knew that no matter how many hiccups we encountered that day (and there were several) Ryan was there for us. Fast forward to 2 years later….we still get the best compliments possible from our friends and family….”your DJ was amazing and your reception was SO much fun. We danced ALL night long!”
